By car. Drive up to Batote on Jammu- Srinagar road over a pass of Patni top (ht. 10,000 feet) then to Kishtwar upstream river Chenab of Chandra-Bhaga to Kishtwar. Night halt in hotel.

Drive on the same route to Atholi passing by several villages. Night stay in camp (two men tents).

Drive on same route, constructed on the sheer face of precipice, at many a places above the river Chandra-Bhaga. Night stay in tourist bunglow..

Kilar is the sub- division headquarters of Pangi (H.P.).

Route follows the Chandra-Bhaga gorge upto Udaipur in Lahoul-Spiti district (H.P.). Visit to Mindal goddess temple on way up. 

Drive up in Mayar Nala valley to be seen nature in her best form and back to Udaipur. Visit to Hindu temple of Goddess Mrikulla. 

Drive up following the same route to Keylong, the district headquarters of Lahoul Spiti district. Visit to Buddhist temple of Avalokiteshwara at Trilokinath on way up. Night halt in hotel.

Visit to monasteries in the vicinity of Keylong. Night halt at Keylong.

Drive through Chandra river valley upto the pass of Kunzum (ht. 14,900 feet) and then goes down to Spiti valley upto Losar camp site. The river which follows down in Spiti valley is the tributory of the Sutlej river

Road goes downstream Spiti river to Kaza, the sub-division headquarters of Spiti. Night in the hotel at Kaza.. Visit kye monastery on way to Kaza. 

Road goes downstream Spiti river to Nako village (Kinnaur district), where six ancient Buddhist temples are located.

Drive down to Rekong Peo, the district headquarters of Kinnaur district. Road goes down along the Sutlej river. Visit Peo and Kanam temples (Buddhist) on way.

Drive down on the same road upto Karcham and then up in a side valley of Baspa to Sangla. Visit the fort and Badri Nath temple at Sangla.

Drive upstream Baspa river to Chitkul through dense forest. Back to Sangla for night stay.

Drive on same road back to Karcham and then downstream Sutlej river to Sarahan. Visit Bhima Kali temple.

Drive on the Hindustan Tibet road to Narkanda.

Visit to Nirmand Parshu Rama temple (Hindu) on way. Night stay at Narkanda.

Drive on the same road to Shimla, once summer capital of India during British Raj. Night stay in hotel.

Drive down on the same road to Dulanjee where Tibetan Bonpo community live in newly built settlement and they have built their monastery. Night stay
