Buddhism & Bon Religions

The fountainhead of Buddhisam is in the central Indian land of 'madhya desha'. Where, Buddha the gautama, the founder of Buddhisam, had meditated and experienced enlightenment at Bodh Gaya under the bo tree. His new found 'way of spritual life' is called Buddhisam. His teachings spread almost all over the Asia.Tibet was the country to adopt the Buddhism in 7th century. Wherever Buddhism reached, it infulenced the native frligious cultures and nutred differing Buddhist practices.

Buddhism gained deep roots by assimilation of old bon religious practices, which is known as Tibetan Buddhism or Lamaism.

Bon religion is considered indigenous faith of Tibet. It was introduceed by great teacher Shenrab Mio of Tag Zig intro the land of Zhang Zhung (Western Tibet) and thence to Tibet.
